Rob Barber
Chief Executive Officer
Rob Barber is Chief Executive Officer of Environmental Data Resources. In this capacity, he is responsible for developing the enterprise's vision and executing the company's strategies across all chosen markets. Rob has been with EDR since 1992.
Prior to becoming CEO in 2004, Rob had been the company's President and Chief Operating Officer. Before that, he held multiple positions in the company's National Sales Organization, including Vice President of Sales, and was responsible for opening EDR's first regional sales offices in New England, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles.
Since the early 1990's, Rob has been an advocate for the application of environmental information services in the commercial mortgage, corporate M&A due diligence and residential home ownership markets. He has spearheaded major initiatives to develop proprietary property records, aggregate user generated content, and develop web-based workflow applications that improve both the user experience and the value of critical property content.
Rob also led the team that created Commonground; the global social network for professionals involved in all aspects of property due diligence and risk assessment. In 2009, Commonground won the Forrester Groundswell Award as Best Business to Business Supporting Community.
He is on the Board of Directors for BUILDERadius and a member of Worldwide ERC's Green Initiatives Committee which develops "green" education and business strategies within the workforce mobility industry.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Fairfield University.
Mark Cerino
Chief Operating Officer
Mark Cerino is Chief Operating Officer for Environmental Data Resources, responsible for all daily operations of the company. Mr. Cerino brings over eighteen years of operational and computer systems expertise to EDR. From 1988 to 1991, he created and designed accounting and manufacturing tracking software programs for Decorator Services of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Prior to that, he developed software systems for automating accounting and other business functions for Whizard Computing. He also designed and created database applications for inventory and job tracking at AT&T Network Systems. Mr. Cerino has also worked with various government agencies including NASA, Department of Defense and NOAA. He is currently acting co-chair of the Mortgage Bankers Associations MISMO Commercial Originations groups and an active participant in MISMO's Commercial Architecture, Core Data, and Servicing groups. Mr. Cerino is a member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers and is listed in Who's Who in Computers, Who's Who Among Rising Young Americans and 2000 Notable American Men. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Bridgeport.
Oreste Petillo
Chief Financial Officer
Oreste A. Petillo is the Chief Financial Officer at Environmental Data Resources. Timely reporting of the company's financial results are a primary responsibility along with analyzing business opportunities, strategic planning, corporate compliance, contract management and developing financial metrics. Mr. Petillo joined EDR in 1996 as Controller. He was promoted to Vice President of Finance in 2000. Prior to joining EDR, Mr. Petillo had five years experience in public accounting working for local firms in Fairfield County serving a variety of clients. He also had prior industry experience at Trans-Lux Corporation. Mr. Petillo progressed from Staff Accountant to Senior Account and Accounts Payable/Payroll Supervisor during his two plus years at the Norwalk, Connecticut based company. Mr. Petillo graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science Degree in business administration. He has been a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants since 1994.
Beth Skrzyniarz, SPHR
Vice President of Human Resources
Beth Skrzyniarz is the Vice President of Human Resources at Environmental Data Resources, Inc. In this role, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the department while concentrating on employee development, recruiting, compliance and training. Prior to joining EDR, Ms. Skrzyniarz worked in various industries where she was able to explore the many diverse aspects of human resources. In 2000, she joined a start-up firm in Manhattan where she was able to apply her experience in developing a human resources department. Ms. Skrzyniarz's experience in HR development led to further opportunities in the start-up arena, and she worked at two different national companies specializing in home services before joining EDR. Ms. Skryzniarz earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Suffolk University in Boston, and majored in communications. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and has been a member of the Society for Human Resource Management since 1996.
Jon Walker
Vice President of Sales
Jon Walker is Vice President of Sales at EDR. In this capacity, he is responsible for the development of new strategies, products and services to grow EDR's current business in the environmental, lender, and corporate, legal and government markets. Mr. Walker has been with EDR since 1992. Prior to assuming his current role, he was the Managing Director of EDR Corporate, Legal and Government Services, a Regional Vice President of EDR Lender Services, and held multiple positions within EDR's national sales organization.
Mr. Walker served as the co-chair of the ASTM E 1528 Task Group which published ASTM E 1528-06, Standard Practice for Limited Environmental Due Diligence: Transaction Screen Process. The purpose of this practice is to define good commercial and customary practice in the United States of America for conducting a transaction screen for a parcel of commercial real estate where the user wishes to conduct limited environmental due diligence. Mr. Walker holds a B.A. in business and economics from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.
