EDR market research indicates that Phase I ESA volume in Texas in the fourth quarter of 2011 was down 9.1% from 4Q10.
Only one of the state's four largest metros saw growth from 4Q10:
- Austin +23%
- Houston -2%
- Dallas -4%
- San Antonio -20%

- 84% of Texas lenders are relying more on the use of outside environmental consultants than they were two years ago.
- Two-thirds of Texas lenders now conduct environmental due diligence on a greater percentage of commercial real estate loans than they did two years ago.
